Bright Light and UV-Imaging in LCP

When LCP is used for crystallization of membrane proteins, often polymeric or glass covering materials are used. Both materials are well suited for bright light and even for intrinsic fluorescence imaging. Crystal identification in situ is facilitated via UV-illumination since thereby intrinsic protein fluorescence can be excited.
