    IUCr2017 August 21th - 18th, 2017, in Hyderabad, India

Hyderabad, India will host the 24th Congress & General Assembly of the International Union of Crystallography 2017 from 21 – 28 August 2017. We extend a warm welcome to all crystallographers from across the world!

The program is cutting edge with 3 plenaries, 40 keynotes, 119 microsymposia, regular and e-posters, commercial exhibits, satellite meetings, workshops and official meetings of the IUCr. A parallel program on science related matters and outreach is also planned. This will be a state of the art international meeting set in the unique ambience of India.

Bursary applications for students, registrations and abstract submissions will be accepted on line starting 1 December, 2016.

Hyderabad is a modern city of 9 million people. Its iconic symbol is the Charminar or four minarets, which draws its inspiration from the tetragonal crystal system. It is the central motif in our logo for IUCr 2017.

Hyderabad International Airport has a wide range of connections through hubs in the Gulf, South East Asia and Europe. Of course, one can also fly in through Delhi, Mumbai or just about any major airport in India. The Congress venue, Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) is on par with the best Congress destinations around the world and equipped with the finest technological, communication, digital and audio-visual tools.

We are sure that IUCr 2017 will be an experience to remember for everyone.

XtalConcepts will participate at the ISBC in Granada, Spain from May 29th to June 2nd, 2017

    ISBC Granada May 29th - June 2nd, 2017

The Laboratorio de Estudios Cristalográficos announces the sixth International School on Biological Crystallization to be held in Granada from May 29th to June 2nd, 2017

This International School will focus on the fundamentals of crystallization from solution and its applications to the field of the crystallization of biological macromolecules.

ISBC2017 will provide five days of lectures and practical demonstrations related to the crystallization of biological macromoleculesbiominerals and biomimetic materials, with one full day devoted to case studies on the crystallization of membrane proteins, viruses and large macromolecular complexes.

The School is intended for postgraduate and postdoctoral students as well as for research scientists from industrial and academic backgrounds that deal everyday with crystallization but seek fundamental knowledge on the behaviour of crystallizing solutions.

The School will be held from the 29th of May to the 2nd of June 2017 at the Gran Hotel Luna de Granada in Granada (Spain).

The 2017 Annual Meeting will be held at the  Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. The meeting will begin on Friday, May 26 and end  on Tuesday, May 30.

The ACA Meeting is an annual event providing scientists from a wide variety of backgrounds the opportunity to exchange cutting edge ideas and techniques in multiple areas of research. Each meeting highlights various aspects of crystallography and demonstrates their significance to the greater scientific
community.  Vendors display the latest technology at the exhibit show.

Topics including protein structure and drug design, materials research and engineering, among others.  Scientific sessions are organized by the twelve Scientific Interest Groups (SIGs) within the Association: Biological Macromolecules, Fiber Diffraction, General Interest, Industrial, Materials Science, Neutron Scattering, Powder Diffraction, Service Crystallography, Small Angle Scattering, Small Molecules, Synchrotron Radiation, and Young Scientists. Some sessions are jointly sponsored, while other are singularly organized.

Special award symposium acknowledge outstanding achievement in crystallography.  Various annual awards are presented to both mature and early career scientists.
